Projects and plans

The objectives of all EFDS multi-year projects are to test new innovative ideas for their industrial feasibility and implementation. For this purpose, we are applying for research funding within the framework of the BMWK program for industrial joint research (IGF). The EFDS recipe for success is industrial collaborative research (IGF). This programme is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) to strengthen the innovative power of SMEs.

The principle is to jointly and efficiently research pre-competitive issues in surface and thin-film technology. The joint pre-competitive research and development, coordinated by the EFDS, also contributes to a higher competitiveness of the member companies.
