PSE 2022 – The largest scientific conference on plasma and surface engineering in Europe.
The 18th International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering will take place in Erfurt/Germany from Monday, 12 September to Thursday, 15 September 2022. Over 500 participants from Europe, Asia and America will discuss the latest scientific findings in plasma and surface technology.
PSE offers the opportunity to present the latest advances in research and development as well as industrial applications. Topics range from fundamentals such as process modelling and simulation of plasmas or thin film physics, to experimental studies establishing the relationships between process parameters and the structural and functional properties of modified surfaces and/or thin films, to applications in industrial production.
PSE 2022 is dedicated to the topic “Changes in Plasma Surface Technology”. Currently, there are numerous trends breaks in the technology. While existing applications of e.g., hard and/or low-friction coatings in combustion engines may decline in the coming years, new fields of application in hydrogen technology are increasingly emerging. The reduction of the CO2 footprint has triggered parallel developments in different directions, e.g., in relation to hydrogen with electrolysers and fuel cells, in relation to batteries to increase power density per unit mass, but also in relation to plasma conversion processes to produce e.g., hydrocarbons. The focus of PSE2022 will be on technologies that are expected to have growth potential in the next decade.
The “PSE 2022 – International Matchmaking” is an important part of the International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering in Erfurt (DE). The planned B2B meetings offer an ideal opportunity to identify potential cooperation partners and establish interesting business contacts. This international matchmaking is organised by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) / Erfurt.
